The Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre recently organized 2 lectures for staff.
On 28 March 2013, the SEARCH subunit of the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre organized a lecture on ‘Drug-Drug Interactions of HIV and opportunistic Infections Treatment’ by Dr. Alice Pau. Dr. Pau is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Clinical Staff Scientist at the NIH/NIAID in USA. She began her specialization in infectious diseases pharmacology in 1984, with clinical and research interests and expertise in therapeutic management of HIV infection since 1988.
The HIV-NAT subunit organized a talk by Professor Kiat Ruxrungtham on ‘HIV Drug Resistance and How to Manage HAART failure’ on 18 April 2013 to provide knowledge to staff. During the training session, the lecturer and participants discussed real life examples, problems and challenges that participants encounter every day at work. The talk is a part of the In-Service Clinical Updates training which takes place regularly. Professor Ruxrungtham is a Professor of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University and Deputy Director of the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre and its HIV-NAT subunit.
